Forest Cover Monitoring

Check past and present data for your forest stands to detect changes in forest cover within your area(s) of interest (AOI).

Deforestation Monitoring

Obtain information on the extent of deforested areas within your forest masses to:

  • Identify illegal logging.

  • Assess damage caused by natural disasters, such as hurricanes or fires.

  • Analyze historical logging activities.

  • Estimate economic losses derived from deforestation.

Reforestation Monitoring

Identify land cover changes, monitor tree growth and replanted areas to coordinate forest reforestation efforts, and support green initiatives to combat erosion and preserve biodiversity.

Tree Species Classification

Identify tree species, such as oaks, birches, pines and many others with up to 80% accuracy to:

  • Classify the tree species in your area(s) of interest.

  • Improve inventory management.

  • Analyze the distribution and coverage of species in your area(s) of interest.

Forest Health Monitoring

Detect changes in forest health from satellite image data. We compare and analyze historical (over 3, 5, 7 years) and current NDVI index values for specific areas. Our reports classify changes in forest health into 11 stages, allowing an overall assessment of health and its changes due to natural phenomena, reforestation activities, etc.

Estimation of Burned Area

Effectively monitor regional and national post-wildfire activities based on the severity of damage in each area. Regardless of whether the fire is small or large, this approach allows you to assess damage and classify affected areas based on the degree of tree burn using pre- and post-fire satellite images to:

  • Predict the recovery period of forests.

  • Manage reforestation efforts by area.

  • Identify areas to remove dead trees.

Biomass Estimation

Estimate forest biomass based on analysis of current and historical data to:

  • Monitor the forest inventory.

  • Prepare relevant information to receive carbon credits.

  • Evaluate forest productivity.

  • Evaluate wood stocks for purchasing or insurance issues.

Forest Carbon Tracking

Generate carbon stock reports based on biomass estimates to combat global warming and earn carbon credits. Carbon quantity data is measured in megagrams (Mg) and is updated at least once a year to help:

  • Estimate carbon reserves in forests.

  • Assess carbon stocks in wood for purchasing or insurance purposes.

  • Conduct ecological research on land cover carbon stocks.

Supply chain management

Improve supply chain management by monitoring and analyzing deforestation data in your or neighboring forest stands. Use this information to:

  • Verify compliance with the EUDR regulation.

  • Distinguish between primary and newly planted forests.

  • Monitor changes in forest boundaries.

Climate Monitoring

Get detailed weather data, such as temperature, precipitation, radiation, evapotranspiration, wind strength and direction, etc. Use historical analysis and hourly forecast for the next 14 days to:

  • Plan and adjust activities.

  • Detect meteorological threats, such as high temperatures and low rainfall, to prevent forest fires.

Thermal Anomaly Detection

Be aware of forest fires in your area to plan your forest management and protection actions if necessary.

Vegetation Monitoring

Perform remote forest health monitoring using NDVI, NDMI, MSAVI, NDRI and REC vegetation indices. Our R&D team can also create custom indices tailored to your particular needs.

Monitoring changes in index values will help you:

  • Regularly monitor vegetation changes in your forest masses.

  • Analyze historical data to identify trends in vegetation growth or decline in specific areas.
